Realtek ALC882M audio hd onboard asus p5ld2 motherboard does

I'm having problems trying to get my onboard realtek ALC882M audio from my asus p5ld2 to work at all. I upgrade from windows xp to the vista beta. Sound was working before the upgrade. Anyone had any similar problems? Is there a compatible driver somewhere? I checked the asus and realtek sites and couldn't find anything. Any help is MUCH appreciated.
Cheers

Check the Realtek website:
http://www.realtek.com.tw/downloads/downloads.aspx
I got the ALC 650 Vista driver there. It works, but Vista thinks it's the wrong driver when I open the Control Panel even though Vista reports that the driver is working just fine.

Had the same problem. I went onto system/hardware/device manager and found the soundcard. It had a big red X next to it or something like that. I think I right clicked on the card and then hit properties and somewhere in there was a button to "find a soulution" I hit it and it went to the MS website found the proper drivers and loaded them, it works fine now.....Eric

I got P5WD2 with ALC882D download Realtek beta driver, downloaded ok. Nothing, if I turn it up high enough I can listen to the static. good luck.

Ribeye, are you using the p5ld2 motherboard? I tried the drivers on the site and the "find a solution" and neither work for me. Anyone else have any ideas?
